OVERVIEW

With our teammates at Greenplay LLC and Design Concepts we developed the Plan to meet federal guidelines for Land and Water Fund allocation as a Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). Our team worked closely with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to drastically expand the input and data for a clear picture of recreation in the state. The project involved a statewide public input survey, work with stakeholder agencies statewide, regional in-person public meetings, data analysis, and strategies for continued improvement. This project was an update to the previous 2014 LPRP also produced by GreenPlay and Design Concepts.

Scope of Work

  • Data coordination with every Maryland county and City of Baltimore

  • Update to the 2014 GIS dataset compiled by Design Concepts

  • GRASP® Level of Service Analysis and produce a series of 24 maps at the regional level to drive future decision making in regard to land acquisition and recreation management

  • Presentation of findings to advisory panel in Annapolis
