Brush Secondary Campus Addition and Renovation | Brush School District RE-2J
Located in rural Colorado, Brush School District received a BEST grant to address the health, safety, security, and educational deficiencies in their current Middle School and High School. The phased project includes a new middle school and high school complex on the current and occupied site of the old high school, and re-purposing and renovating some portions of the old high school building. The project went through the CHPS Verification process.
The scope of work includes outdoor gathering areas, student and visitor entry plazas, with playfields and court games highlighting the site. Snap cut stone benches provide unique student seating areas. Preservation was a key element of this process with siginificant existing trees preserved wherever possible as well the existing track and shop areas.
