Riverdale Ridge High School | 27J Schools
The school building sits on the local high point, providing a commanding view of the front range. Riverdale Ridge was designed to alleviate overcrowding at the District’s other two high schools which were operating on split schedules to accommodate students. The high school has a full sports complex, with a sports stadium containing an 8-lane track and field, football, soccer, and lacrosse field with synthetic turf, elevated bleachers, and access-controlled entries. Ballfields had competition-level softball and baseball fields, plus an additional shared practice field. Two multi-use irrigated turf fields, basketball, and tennis courts round out the athletic events.
Student gathering areas are located at the student and public entries of the building, as well as the student athletics area south of the building and the stadium entries. Design Concepts also provided irrigation design for the site.
